Where do the bids come from?
City, county, school district, university and state bids come from each state's official public bid sites, checked every morning. Federal jobs come from SAM.gov, the U.S. government's official contracting site. Every listing links to the official notice so you can check each detail at the source.
How does the matching work?
We compare each listing with your profile: trade, distance from your ZIP code, typical job size, and how closely the work resembles your capabilities description. Listings outside your radius or trade are left out.
Can a subcontractor bid on federal prime contracts?
Usually a prime contract goes to a general contractor. That's why Who's hiring subs shows which contractors just won big jobs near you, with a message ready to send them about sub work.
Is the AI going to make things up?
Summaries are generated only from the listing's own text, and any dollar amount must appear in that text or it's thrown out. Every summary is labeled as AI-generated and sits next to the original.
I'm a general contractor. Can I post work for subs?
Yes, free. Post the scope you need subbed out and local subcontractors in that trade are matched to it and contact you directly. No fees and no commission.
